Rebecca Draeger
Doctoral Candidate
Rebecca Draeger is a Doctoral student in the Energy Planning Program at COPPE/UFRJ. She holds a bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering from UFF and a master's degree in Energy Planning from COPPE/UFRJ. She developed her master's thesis on improving the modeling of crude oil quality and refining schemes and their representation in the CenergiaLab's in-house global integrated assessment model (COFFEE) to evaluate the implications of stringent climate scenarios in the global oil market. Currently, her doctoral dissertation focuses on the role of fossil fuels in a low-carbon future, mainly exploring just transition analyses. Her main research interests include energy transition, just transition, stranded assets, integrated assessment models, and climate change mitigation.
