Ana Carolina Fiorini

Postdoc

Ana Carolina Oliveira Fiorini is a post-doctoral researcher at the Energy Planning Program (PPE/COPPE/UFRJ). She holds a bachelor degree in Biology (Bio/UFRJ), a MSc in Environmental and Energy Planning (COPPE/UFRJ) and a PhD in Interdisciplinary Ecology (SNRE/University of Florida). Early on in her educational career, she developed an interest in conservation policy. Her Master's thesis focused on degraded forests and REDD+, and her PhD research focused on compliance with the Brazilian Forest Code and the impacts of a payments for environmental services intervention in Atlantic Forest. With CENERGIA, she works with the AFOLU team and contributes to the incorporation of terrestrial biodiversity in integrated assessment models.
